FIRST 120 DAY TIMELINE

Within my first 30 days I will accomplish these objectives as your new Scout Executive.

  • Spend time getting to know the staff leadership as well as understanding the nuances of the Council Operation

  • Get acclimated with the council territory

  • Meet with the council attorney, Key-3, to review any legal challenges and governance issues

  • Meet with our treasurer, complete a financial review, share the findings, and determine the course of action to keep us on track

  • Develope/review our 2024 Revenue Plan and Budget

  • Review our camp operations

  • Develop a list of five key recruitment targets for the council executive board

Within my first 60 days I will accomplish the following objectives: 

  • Read the Administrative Review and share the findings; plan corrections as needed

  • Meet one on one with each council officer and staff member

 

Within my first 90 days I will accomplish the following objectives: 

  • Meet with our Top 20 Donors, Board Members, Commissioner Corps, Camp Directors and OA LEC to discover their passions as well as hear their concerns

 

Within my first 120 days I will accomplish the following objectives:        

  • Visit each camp operation on a weekly basis

  • Meet with each District Key 3

  • Hold a “Fireside Chat” in each District

  • Meet with our Top Ten Deferred Givers

  • Visit the top two Units in each District

  • Establish my presence and establish residence in the community

  • Inspire others to support the program that has meant so much to me

 

Accomplishing these objectives will put me on a firm foundation to help set the course for the future of the Bay-lakes Council.
